Purple Audio ODD is a four-band inductor-based EQ. Designed to work in standard “500″ racks designed by Ed Anderson for Purple Audio.

A modern update of the classic “swinging inputs” console EQ, with four easy to use bands. Each band uses a high quality inductor and carefully selected caps to give two switchable frequencies. The bands are carefully shaped and spaced to be musical, even at full boost or cut. The highest band can be switched from bell to shelf, to boost frequencies extending well beyond 20kHz. The lowest band can also be switched from bell to shelf, reaching down into the subsonic range.

There are illuminated pushbuttons for additional fixed low (red) and high (yellow) cut filters. A relay true bypass (green) allows for easy comparison with unprocessed source material. With the low and high cut switched out, and all four bands set to 0, the frequency response is +/- 0.25dB from 15Hz to 25kHz, and -3dB at 60kHz.

With specialized input and output transformers, the Odd has plenty of headroom, even at full boost. The entire circuit is discrete, with no electrolytic capacitors in the signal path, and no servo amps. With only two active stages, the current draw is low enough to work in any rack, and leave plenty of juice for other modules. The Odd uses one KDJ3 op-amp and one KDJ4 op-amp.

Bettermaker Mastering Equalizer

Bettermaker Mastering Equalizer is a mastering grade EQ for recording, mixing and mastering. Based around a 5" touch screen that displays all the various parameters and settings and controls.

Mastering Equalizer offers a lot of new features and changes the way we usually use a traditional equalizer. It is 100% controllable via an AAX / VST / AU plug-in (provided), like all the brand's products, which syncs via a standard USB port to the DAW. This allows you to get 100% automation, presets recall and retrieve your last settings at the openning of the session, and even an A/B function to compare 2 presets. The device can also  store internally 399 Presets.

But also, the filtering of the signal is graphically represented on its touch screen, in real time. This is again a first.

Not to mention that it is still the only EQ combining a parametric section, here of 4 bands, and a complete Pultec type section with an "AIR" band. Each section can be enabled or disabled independently.

Bettermaker's Mastering Equalizer also offers RTA analyzers for the input and output signal, as well as an M/S matrix.

This makes it the most complete and practical EQ on the market and a real tool at an unbeatable price.
